Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 1/24/2026
1. Introduction
Your privacy is our top priority. This policy explains how Demumu handles your data - spoiler: we collect almost nothing.
2. Data We Collect
Demumu is designed to be privacy-first:
- Emergency Contact: Name and email of your designated contact
- Check-in Status: Whether you've checked in today
- All data is stored locally on your device
- We do NOT track your location or access your contacts
3. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely for the core functionality:
- To send email alerts to your emergency contact if you miss check-ins
- To display your check-in status within the app
- We never sell, share, or analyze your data
4. Encryption
All data transmitted by Demumu is protected with end-to-end encryption. Your emergency contact information is stored locally on your device, not on our servers.
5. Data Sharing
We do NOT share your data with anyone. Period. The only data transmission is the emergency alert email sent to your designated contact when you miss check-ins.
6. Your Rights
You have complete control over your data:
- Delete the app to remove all local data instantly
- Change your emergency contact at any time
- No account means no data stored on our servers
- Your data never leaves your device except for emergency alerts
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures. Since most data is stored locally on your device, you maintain control over its security.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the app.
9. Contact Us
